A rather pretty and finely detailed handpainted Chinese/Japanese six cornered porcelain tea caddy, depicting landscapes, flowers, men and women. Complete with original lid. Dated markings to base is underglaze and I was not able to fully identify and can be either Chinese or Japanese.
 
We believe though the item dates from around Chenghua Nian Zhi, Before 1910, probably Guangxu period (1875-1908). If not of the period then from 19th century.
