Amazing early 19th c., polychrome enameled and gilt porcelain, identically decorated. Pair of antique 19th century French Paris Porcelain tea caddies hand painted with Chinoiserie decor.
 
Rectangular form with canted corners, the canisters are richly decorated with hand painted scrolling foliage and flowers and playful dogs on a vibrant white porcelain ground. Further embellished with raised gold gilted decor.
Trimmed in bright gold painted, pinks and blues accents. The stoppers are exquisite, with hand painted portraits of figures in colorful costumes. Gorgeous pair. In overall good antique condition with general wear from use and age. A small chip to one of the stoppers that has been restored (see photos). Some loss to the gold enamel decoration.
